Branch Scholarship for STEM Majors
The Branch Scholarship for STEM Majors at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú will fund up to half the cost of tuition and fees for five students pursuing majors within the STEM fields (does not include room and board) for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The program is open to high school seniors and transfer students who excel in the classroom as well as extracurricular activities. Students must complete the application for admission and declare a STEM major by March 18, 2025 to be invited to apply for the Branch Scholarship.
Honoring C.B. and Anita Branch
The late Charles B. and Anita Branch dedicated their lives to the field of science. A chemist by training, Charles worked for Dow Chemicals for 39 years and retired as its chief executive officer in 1976. Anita worked for Dow for a decade in the company's Equal Opportunity Program for Women. The Branch Scholarship honors their life-long dedication to the field of science.
Criteria
Branch Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a first-time freshman or transfer student for the fall 2025 term
- Possess an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
- Be active in extracurricular activities
- Apply for admission to ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú by March 18, 2025 with a declared major in a STEM field. Upon receiving admission and meeting the criteria, ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú will provide the student with instructions on how to submit the Branch Scholarship application, which must be completed by March 31, 2025.
- Enroll full time at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú beginning in fall 2025 and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú to renew the scholarship for up to four years of undergraduate study for freshmen and two years for transfer students
Students interested in applying for the Branch Scholarship must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 31, 2025 at , be sure to list ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú's School Code: 003598 on the FAFSA so we can electronically download and have access to your information.
